Jamsheed Mehta, Assistant City Manager

Jamsheed Mehta has 35 years of experience in municipal public service. He currently serves Glendale as an Assistant City Manager. Mr. Mehta was Town Manager for the Town of Marana before returning to Glendale in 2020. During his previous time in Glendale, he served as the Interim Assistant City Manager (2012-14) and led the Transportation Department as an Executive Director (2005-2012). Earlier in his career, he held a variety of positions in planning divisions in Kansas, including serving as the Chief Planner for Wichita-Sedgwick County and as Assistant Planning Director for Topeka-Shawnee County.

He holds a Master of Urban Planning degree from the University of Kansas and a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Nadirshaw Edulji Dinshaw University of Engineering and Technology in Pakistan. He is a member of the International City/County Management Association and the American Institute of Certified Planners.
