Dementia Friendly Glendale

Dementia Friendly LogoDementia  Friendly Glendale is a collaborative effort led by an Action Team which consists of the City of Glendale, key internal and external stakeholders including older adults and the community at large.

Being the 88th largest city in the nation and the 7th largest city in the state of Arizona, Glendale has committed to build a more dementia friendly community.  We have recognized dementia as a growing concern and strive to be proactive as Arizona is expected to experience the fastest growth with residents living with dementia.

Our Dementia Friends Champions and Action Team members will make great efforts to promote dementia awareness and support those living with dementia. This will be accomplished through ongoing programming which will include Memory Cafés, Community Outreach, First Responders Education, and Dementia Friends Information Sessions.
