Bell Bank Celebrates One Year Anniversary In Downtown Glendale

Bell Bank Marks One Year of Service in the Heart of Downtown Glendale

Bell Bank is proud to celebrate its first anniversary serving the Downtown Glendale community. Since opening its doors in April 2024, the Glendale branch has played a key role in Bell Bank’s continued Arizona growth, offering full-service banking to individuals, families, and businesses while deepening its community impact.

“The downtown Glendale atmosphere is truly something special—there’s a unique blend of charm, history, and heart here,” said Taylor Iverson, Vice President Branch Manager. “We’ve built wonderful relationships with other local businesses, and we truly feel like we’re part of a close-knit community. There’s a spirit of collaboration that makes it easy to work together and support one another, whether that’s through joint events, referrals, or simply cheering each other on.”

Founded in 1966 and headquartered in Fargo, North Dakota, Bell Bank is one of the nation’s largest independently owned banks, with more than $13 billion in assets and full-service banking locations across Arizona, Minnesota, and North Dakota.

Bell Bank has rapidly grown in the Phoenix metro area and is now among the Valley’s 10 largest banks, with $1.4 billion in deposits as of June 30, 2024. The company was also recently named one of the top four Best Places to Work among midsize companies in Phoenix.

“What a year it’s been for Bell Bank,” said Glendale Mayor Jerry P. Weiers. “It is hard to believe a year has already come and gone. Bell Bank has been a great community partner. It will be exciting to watch them flourish, as our downtown area continues to see growth.”

As part of its long-term investment in Arizona, Bell Bank continues to expand its team across key financial sectors, bringing in top talent in insurance, wealth management, investments, and specialty banking areas including SBA lending, non-profit banking, and tribal banking.

In addition to delivering exceptional banking services, Bell Bank is well known for its culture of generosity. Through its unique Pay It Forward initiative—launched in 2008—employees have been empowered to direct more than $30 million in giving to individuals, families, and organizations in need.

“As a family- and employee-owned bank, we take great pride in being deeply invested in the communities we serve,” said Iverson. “Our presence in Glendale brings not only financial services but a commitment to meaningful involvement. Whether it’s sponsoring local events, supporting small businesses, or empowering our team to give back through Pay It Forward, we’re here to be more than a bank—we’re here to be a partner. We believe strong communities are built through personal relationships and shared success, and that’s exactly what we’re striving for in Glendale.”
