Solid Waste Residential and Commercial Rates and Temporary Fuel Surcharge
On August 9, 2022, City Council approved the January 2023 to January 2026 rate plan. The plan includes a fuel surcharge starting in September 2022. The temporary fuel surcharge will be evaluated annually.
Residential monthly service rate and fuel surcharge fee are as follows:
September 1, 2022, monthly service rate $25.80, extra refuse fee $11.26, fuel surcharge fee $1.54
July 1, 2023, fuel surcharge fee $0.90
January 1, 2024, monthly service rate $26.80, extra refuse fee $12.27, potential fuel surcharge fee
January 1, 2025, monthly service rate $27.70, extra refuse fee $13.28, potential fuel surcharge fee
The Commercial monthly service rate and fuel surcharge fee are as follows:
September 1, 2022, Front Load rates and Commercial fees increase 8%, fuel surcharge fee 3%, Roll Off pull charge rate $247 and disposal rate per ton $30
July 1, 2023, fuel surcharge fee $0.90
January 1, 2024, Front Load rates and Commercial fees increase 7%, Roll Off pull charge rate $258 and disposal rate per ton $31, potential fuel surcharge fee
January 1, 2025, Front Load rates and Commercial fees increase 5%, Roll Off pull charge rate $268 and disposal rate per ton $32, potential fuel surcharge fee
January 1, 2026, Front Load rates and Commercial fees increase 5%, Roll Off pull charge rate $278 and disposal rate per ton $33, potential fuel surcharge fee

Per City of Glendale Municipal Code, Chapter 18 Section 18-108, displayed completion locations are updated at 6 p.m. daily.
To ensure service, place items out no later than 6 a.m. Monday morning of your zone collection date.

Trash Collection Moved Curbside
Beginning Jan 1, 2022, some Glendale residents will see some changes in their trash collection. Refuse and bulk trash will be moved out of many alleys and on to the streets in front of people's homes. Residents will be notified by the city if there is a change to their service.
