MLK Day of Service

9 a.m. – 12 p.m., Saturday, January 15, 2022

Throughout his life, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. advocated for peace, unity and service. He was committed to creating change in his community and so are the many volunteers here in Glendale.  MLK Day of Service is an annual tribute to the life of Dr. King and also a way to donate vitamin-rich citrus to families in need. In partnership with HandsOn Greater Phoenix and St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance, we are looking for over 200 volunteers to help glean fruit.  It also helps beautify a Glendale landmark, keeping this community perfect for living, working and playing!  To register, click here

National Volunteer Week

National Volunteer Week, established in 1974, is an opportunity to recognize the impact of volunteers who help build stronger communities through selflessness. Each year, the city of Glendale takes pride in partnering with these individuals on volunteer projects throughout our neighborhoods. Join us in celebrating volunteers, recognizing their impact, and encouraging volunteerism in our community. To get involved, visit GlendaleAZ.com and search for the “Glendale Star Program” or the “Community Volunteer Program.”
