About Councilmember Ray Malnar

Councilmember Ray Malnar was elected in November 2015 to represent Glendale’s Sahuaro District and began his term on November 10, 2015.

He serves on the following City board and committees: Risk Management and Worker's Compensation Trust Fund Board, Code Review Committee, Business Council Committee, Audit Committee, Maricopa Association of Governments (MAG) Economic Development Committee and formerly on the Government Services Committee. 

Ray Malnar and his wife Mary have five children and thirteen grandchildren. They've made Glendale their home since 1990.

For twenty five years, Ray has owned and operated a valley-wide flooring maintenance and restoration company following a successful career in corporate accounting and finance management at UPS.

He holds an MBA, a BA in Speech Communication, and a BS in Finance from the University of Utah.

He has extensive experience in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, General Business Management, Government Affairs, Politics, Training and Facility maintenance.
