Rick St. John joined the City of Glendale in October 1996 as a Police Officer.  Since joining the City, Rick enjoyed many opportunities and has acquired a background of diverse experiences serving in nearly every area of the Police Department retiring in July 2019 as the Chief of Police.  Rick currently serves the City as Deputy City Manager over Police, Fire, and Code Compliance, also taking on special projects for the City Manager’s Office. 

Along with his diverse experience in public service, Rick received a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Arizona State University and has successfully completed training in Leadership in Police Organizations and received certification from the Balanced Scorecard Institute for strategic planning.
