GLENDALE SEEKS INPUT FOR LOCAL GUIDE

Community at large will vote to create a guide for visitors ahead of Super Bowl LVII

Glendale, Ariz. –  The city of Glendale invites the public to submit nominations for their favorite Glendale businesses in 12 categories. The final selection will result in the creation of the very first “Locals Guide to Glendale” ahead of Super Bowl LVII on February 12, 2023.

The selection process will include three steps. The first phase of the campaign will engage the community and local businesses in the nomination stage.  Participants will complete a brief survey where they nominate their top Glendale based business in each of the 12 categories. The nomination survey will open Monday, October 10, 2022 and will remain open until Friday, November 4, 2022. Businesses are highly encouraged to promote the campaign to garner votes.

Nominations will determine the top 5 businesses in each category. Phase two consists of a final vote from the community. Final voting will take place November 9th to December 7th, 2022. The final vote will establish the top three winners in each category. The campaign will be promoted using the hashtag, #LocalsGuideGlendale.

Businesses with the most votes will receive prominent placement in the guide. While the two runners up will receive honorable mentions. Once the final voting concludes, the city will announce the winners via social media. Winners will earn bragging rights, a certificate of recognition and the privilege of being promoted directly to visitors and residents across various platforms once the final guide is produced.

The final “Locals Guide to Glendale” will be available throughout the city. Visitors will be able to access the guide via QR codes at many locations including hotels, retailers, digitally and more. The nomination survey can be accessed by using the following link: www.surveymonkey.com/r/localsguideglendale

This campaign will serve as a launching platform to promote Glendale’s business community to hundreds of thousands of visitors that will descend on the Valley for the Big Game. Participants will have the opportunity to win prizes for providing their recommendations. Each submitted nomination will be an entry for a prize drawing. The winner will receive (2) tickets to an event in a suite at Desert Diamond Arena in 2023. Additional prizes for stage two will be announced as the campaign advances. Participants must be 21 years of age or older to win. Only one entry per IP address will be allowed. Nominations will be counted only for businesses located in Glendale, Arizona.
