Water-Wise Landscape Rebate Program Huge Success
Glendale residents hit 100-acres grass to xeriscape milestone
More than 5,200 Glendale residents have collectively converted the equivalent of more than 75 football fields to Arizona-friendly landscapes while earning rebates for their efforts from Glendale Water Services Department’s Landscape Rebate Program.

Initially offered in 1986, Glendale has one of the earliest landscape rebate programs in the Valley. To date, participating residents are responsible for the conversion of 100 acres of grass lawns and savings of more than 100 million gallons of water -- enough to fill 151 Olympic-size swimming pools. The grass-to-xeriscape Landscape Rebate Program is available to Glendale water customers. Single-family customers can receive a rebate up to $750. Multi-family, HOA and commercial customers can receive a rebate up to $3,000.
