Tip a Cop Event

Cops Wait Tables at 5 and Diner for Police Unity Tour Fundraiser

WHO: Police Officers from Glendale, Goodyear, Scottsdale and Phoenix Police Departments at the 5 and Diner Restaurant.

WHAT: 11 Police Officers from Glendale, Goodyear, and Phoenix will give new meaning to the phrase “Protect and Serve” as they assist 5 and Diner staff in waiting and clearing tables. All tips given to the
officers will be donated to fundraising for the Police Unity Tour, a non-profit organization formed to honor fallen police officers.

WHERE: 5 and Diner Restaurant - 7541 W. Bell Rd. Peoria, AZ

WHEN: Thursday February 26, 2009, 5-10 p.m.

WHY: Officers from the Glendale, Goodyear, Phoenix, and Scottsdale Police Departments will be participating in the Police Unity Tour, a three-day, 250-mile bicycle ride that starts in Virginia and ends at the National Law Enforcement Memorial in Washington, D.C., this May. Each rider must raise $1,800 in order to participate.

This bicycle tour honors police officers from all across the country who have died in the line of duty. The 5 and Diner Restaurant is hosting this fund-raising event in remembrance of fallen Glendale
Police Officer Anthony Holly.
