Glendale is Offering Free Conservation Kits to Homeowners

Being Water Wise and Energy Smart has never been easier thanks to the city of Glendale’s Water Services Department. Homeowners can now request a free conservation kit containing water- and energy-efficiency devices, including a high-efficiency showerhead, garden hose nozzle, LED light bulb and conservation literature and tips. The conservation kits are made available thanks to a $5000 grant from Arizona Public Service.

Being water wise has never been more important as Arizona and the southwestern United States continue to experience drought conditions, with the first-ever Tier 1 shortage declared for the Colorado River. Thanks to smart planning and smart water use, the city of Glendale is well positioned to meet customers’ water needs, but being prepared does not mean we can be less vigilant. Participating in the City’s free water conservation program is one way we can all help.

Working together to save water is crucial, and Glendale is proud to offer an additional program that helps customers conserve,” said Craig Johnson, Glendale Water Services Director. “The conservation kits are a great way to get water saving devices and resources into the community.”

The kits are available at all four Glendale Public Library branches. Customers must request a kit online at Just click on the gray tab called “Request a Free Conservation Kit.”

Kits are available to all Glendale residential water customers while supplies last, so let’s all get Water Wise and Energy Smart-it’s free and easy.
