Temporary General Labor - Parks and Recreation Department

SALARY: $10.00 per hour

OPENING DATE August 27, 2012                                
  September 7, 2012 at 5 p.m.  

NOTE: This position is temporary part-time up to 19 hours per-week and does not include benefits. Opportunities are available at various park locations.


  • Provides light landscaping and pruning for park facilities.
  • Ensures facilities are clean and ready for rental and free of safety hazards.
  • Cleans grills and water fountains, empties trash and maintains armadas.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School education or GED equivalent and any combination of training and experience equivalent to one year recent landscape experience.  Any equivalent combination of training and experience, which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities, is qualifying.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Requires a valid Arizona driver’s license upon hire

SELECTION PROCESS:  Applications will be screened for the minimum qualifications and special requirements.  Applicants meeting the minimum qualifications and special requirements will be placed on an eligibility list.  Eligibility lists are active for up to six months.  Human Resources reserves the right to terminate or extend the life of an eligibility list at any time.  The hiring department will contact those candidates they wish to test and/or interview.
