The gymnasium is a regulation-size court with six individual basketball hoops allowing multiple games simultaneously. The gymnasium photogym also converts into two regulation volleyball courts or four regulation badminton courts. Open play specified as “recreational” may not include organized practices/drills. Check the gym schedule for your favorite open recreation time. For safety, all gym users must wear closed-toe/heel tennis shoes. Wheeled tennis shoes may not be substituted. To help you stay hydrated, water is the only beverage that may be brought into the gymnasium. Other beverages and food items such as sunflower seeds, snacks, gum, etc. may be consumed in the Activity Room or café area. Individuals ages 9 and older may use the gym without additional supervision. See our monthly gym schedule for hours and availablilty.

Racquetball Courts  (3 available)
Use of the racquetball courts is included with a Recreation Membership. An individual, duo, trio or group may make one reservation per day. Reservations may be made seven days in advance by monthly and annual membership holders. Racquetball leagues are offered throughout the year. Ask at the Front Desk for the next available league. Goggles are required for anyone under 18 years and available at the Fitness Desk. aquatics center photoAquatic Center
The outdoor Aquatics Center consists of a heated, competitive lap pool, lazy river, diving well, two slides, leisure pool with zero depth entry, aquatic playground and concessions that operates during the summer. Year-round lap swimming and aquatics fitness classes are available. The Aquatics Center offers recreational swimming, swim lessons and special events. Anyone in the community may purchase a day visit to our water park during our summer, public recreation swim season.
You do not need to be a member of the Foothills Center. Public recreation swim is not included in a membership to the Foothills Center because this is a limited seasonal program. However, lap swimming for those 13 or older is included in your membership purchase. The pool deck is a “Gum Free Zone.” A handout of all pool rules is available at the Front Desk. All individuals on the pool deck must have an aquatic admission pass. Each individual is counted as part of the Maricopa County regulated “maximum capacity” whether swimming or watching.

Program offerings requiring a fee may include self-enrichment classes, workshops, special
events, sport leagues, personal training, and the Turtle Club. Some recreational offerings and special events are free of charge. The Activity Room and Lobby are also free of charge but may not be used for private parties, events, or organized gatherings. Rental spaces are available for parties, events, or organized gatherings.
