Public Education
It is the mission of the Glendale Fire Department’s Public Education Section to keep residents and visitors healthy and safe through a variety of public education programs. The following educational programs are provided to Glendale residents and visitors free of charge:

- CCC-CPR and AED Training
- Community Emergency Response Training (CERT): 21 Hour Basic Disaster Preparedness Course – Teens
- Disaster Preparedness Training
- Fire Extinguisher Training
- Fire & Life Safety Classes
- Holiday Safety Classes
- Home Fire Safety Classes
- Milo & Moxi Fire Safety & Burn Prevention Program
- Remembering When Senior Safety Program
- RX360 Prescription Drug Abuse Class: Adults and Teens
- Safety Educator Volunteers
- Safety Trailer (Smoke Trailer) (Requires a minimum of 100 participants)
- Senior Trip & Fall Prevention
- Water Safety Education
- Youth Firesetter Intervention Program
- Youth Firesetter Prevention Program
- Youth Firesetter Train-the-Trainer Program
How to Schedule a Class, Presentation or Training:
The following is information on how to schedule a class, presentation or training:
- Each educational program is from one hour to three hours in length
- Requires a minimum of 10 people attending (there is no maximum number of attendees)
- Classroom type setting where a visual presentation can be shown on a screen or a wall
