Fire Medallions
Artist: Gregg LeFevre
Bronze
Completed: 2006

The Glendale Arts Commission, in partnership with the Fire Department, selected Gregg LeFevre of New York, NY to create artwork for the new fire station located near 63rd Avenue and Bell Road.  Mr. LeFevre has created four large bronze medallions that feature fire fighting equipment such as hoses, axes and pike poles. From a distance, the medallions appear as abstract designs and their circular shape compliment the angular lines of the station's architecture.  Two medallions are placed in the interior lobby and two are placed on the exterior wall.
