movies by moonlight Free Family-Friendly Films Featured During Fall Series
Did you know that Americans spent more than $702 billion in 2017 on movies, sports and other entertainment? Give your wallet a break and mark your calendar for Glendale’s Fall Movie by Moonlight series, beginning Sept. 28, which offers free screenings of family-friendly Hollywood blockbusters plus music and activities to make a fun evening out for the whole gang.

The Movies by Moonlight series features a new element this year. The city has created a partnership with Non Stop Entertainment, LLC that hosts movie events throughout the Valley, who will provide a kids’ dance party with music by DJ Johnny. Food will be available for purchase, along with face painting and a balloon artist at a small cost. In addition, the movie locations will rotate all over the city for the fall series, to visit parks in all areas of Glendale.

The fall series will feature three dates, including:

  • Friday, Sept. 28, 5 p.m. – “Rio 2”
Glendale Heroes Regional Park, 83rd Avenue and Bethany Home Road
  • Friday, Oct. 5, 5 p.m. – “Hotel Transylvania”
Sahuaro Ranch Park, main soccer field, 59th Avenue and Mountain View Road
  • Friday, Oct. 12, 5 p.m. – “Hotel Transylvania 2”
Paseo Softball Complex, 63rd Avenue and Thunderbird Road
