This recreational league is for boys and girls ages 5-10. The program provides young players a fun and exciting opportunity to develop the skills of the game while learning lessons in teamwork. The league teaches the fundamentals of offensive and defensive plays, rules and sportsmanship.

Games are held on Saturdays, March 2 - April 20 and are played at Foothills Recreation and Aquatic Center, 5600 W. Union Hills Dr. Game times are usually between the hours of 8:30am and 3:30pm.

Fees: $55 for Glendale residents, $75 for nonresidents. ($10 late fee added after Jan. 19th).  Scholarships are available to those who qualify. Visit for info.

Participants will receive a team shirt, up to 8 games and a participation award.

Age categories are based on the child’s age as of 3/2/19.

Registration is held December 3-January 18. Late registration is held January 19-25.  No registrations will be accepted after 5pm on January 25. Participants will be placed on a waiting list after the registration deadline.

Practices will begin the week of February 11th, if enough volunteers have signed up to coach.  Practices are generally held in the evenings during the week and the day and time is determined by the coach.

Be a Volunteer Coach! our award-winning youth sports program! Indicate your desire to coach when signing up your child. (Note: This does not guarantee a coaching position). Those who do not have children in the league are also welcome to apply! Click here to download an application.


  1. Be at least 18 years old.
  2. Complete a coach’s application and submit it to the Parks & Recreation office, 5970 W. Brown St., by current season registration deadline.
  3. Be fingerprinted and have an FBI background check.
  4. Attend a mandatory coaches meeting.
  5. Attend the Youth Sports Coaches training class or online NYSCA program.
  6. Adhere to the City of Glendale’s coach’s Code of Conduct and department philosophy, “The outcome of the child is more important than the outcome of the game.”
