The temperatures are above 100, the kids are out of school, and it's time for Summer Reading! Glendale Public Library is proud to offer Summer Reading programs for our patrons of all ages, because "Libraries Rock!"
Glendale Public Library Summer Reading Program
Stop by any Glendale Public Library branch and ask for a reading record to track your reading, then bring it back to the library to collect fun prizes. Be sure to pick up a program calendar, too -- arts and crafts, live music, book discussions, storytimes and more await you at the library! If you have questions about Summer Reading, please drop by any Glendale Public Library branch.
Take a look at our great options for kids, teens, and adults below!
Youth Summer Reading
Kids up to 11 years of age can participate by picking up a reading record at the library. Track reading by time, pages or by books to win stickers, a Sonic ice cream coupon, fun treasure box prizes, and a free book! Pre-readers can also earn those prizes by attending library programs or completing pre-reader activities.
Teen Summer Reading
Teens, ages 12-18, can pick up a reading record and begin earning cool prizes, including a Sonic drink coupon, candy, a button, and a free book by tracking their reading by time, pages or by books. Teens can also earn prizes by attending library programs, submitting reviews, sending us a #bookface pic on Instagram or getting a library card!
Adult Summer Reading
Adults 18 and older who read four books this summer will receive a free book, a Sonic drink coupon, and their choice of a PopSocket, earbuds or one of our previous Summer Reading prizes (mugs, glasses, bags, etc. -- while supplies last).
