Heroes Regional Park Library Design NEW! Glendale Public Library Services Expand to Western Glendale
Construction Now Underway
The construction of Glendale’s fourth and newest public library branch, located on the grounds of Heroes Regional Park near 83rd Avenue and Bethany Home Road, officially commenced on June 11, 2018. The new 7,500 sq. ft. library is projected to serve 80,000 visitors annually and bring an array of branch library services and the latest innovations in library technologies to the western portion of our city’s municipality. New Hours

Now Open Eight More Hours Per Week!
We're pleased to announce that you can now visit the Foothills Branch on Thursdays from 10 AM-2 PM and the Velma Teague Branch on Fridays from 10 AM-2 PM. Both locations were formerly closed on those days.

Latest in a series of increases to library operating hours, this change will result in over 400 more operating hours per year system-wide without increasing staff or costs to Glendale taxpayers. To view all of our operating hours, click here. We look forward to seeing you!

Glendale Public Library is hosting a Writer in Residence who will be onsite to write and provide instruction to aspiring authors. Get expert advice on your writing by booking a one-on-one appointment, or attend a public workshop to learn new skills in craft and publishing. All experience levels are welcome. Come meet our Writer in Residence and get on your way to having your own book on library and bookstore shelves.
