Part of our role in Economic Development is to ensure that our audience of citizens, brokers, site selectors, and partners are informed of the community assets and development activity in Glendale.  This quarter provided Economic Development with great opportunities to spread the word.

Glendale participated in the Arizona Communities booth at the International Council of Shopping Centers’ Western Conference show August 31st-September 1st, 2016. The Conference provided the city the chance to reach a number of retailers, site selectors and brokers and highlight the retail opportunities in Glendale.

Staff shared an update of the tremendous amount of economic activity occurring in the city at a recent Visit Glendale Advisory committee meeting. The committee is comprised of representatives of various members of the West Valley tourism industry.

The Office of Economic Development was also able to share an update on the city with the Glendale Rotary Club.
