Dead Animal Pickup

City Right-of-Way:

The City of Glendale will remove dead animals from the City Right-of-Ways.  To report a dead animal on a public street, contact the Non-Emergency Police Department at 623-930-3000.

It is illegal to bury a dead animal or place it in your garbage or recycling container for collection, however, you can deliver a dead pet to the Glendale Landfill.  CLICK HERE for information on the Glendale Landfill.

To report a stray dog, a sick or injured stray animal, an animal bite or suspected animal neglect, abuse, abandonment or hoarding, contact the City’s Animal Services Hotline at 623/930-3212.

Private Property:

For dead animals on private property they may be picked up by commercial companies for a fee, please consult the telephone directory.


To report a dead animal on a Freeway or Highway (including Grand Avenue), contact ADOT at 602-712-6513.


For livestock, contact Arizona Department of Agriculture, the Animal Services Division at 602-542-0872.
