Welcome to the city of Glendale’s Transit Service Web site. Transit provides a wide range of convenient, low-cost transportation alternatives for Glendale citizens and visitors, including fixed-route bus service, Glendale Dial-A-Ride, Glendale Urban Shuttle (GUS) bus service, ADA service, a taxi-subsidy program, and partnerships with Maricopa County to provide countywide service. With the exception of fixed-route bus service, the city of Glendale’s transit programs will operate on a holiday schedule for the following 2009 dates:

• January 1 (New Year’s Day)*
• January 19 (Martin Luther King Day)
• February 16 (Presidents’ Day)
• May 25 (Memorial Day)*
• July 4 (Independence Day)*
• September 7 (Labor Day)*
• October 12 (Columbus Day)
• November 11 (Veterans Day)
• November 26 (Thanksgiving)*
• December 25 (Christmas Day)*

*Indicates major holiday. Fixed route service will operate on a Sunday schedule these days.

Glendale Offers an Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Service
In compliance with federal regulations, the City of Glendale offers an Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Service to eligible persons who, because of a disability, cannot use Valley Metro fixed-route bus service. The ADA service covers the same routes and operates the same hours as Valley Metro fixed –route bus service in Glendale. Read more

Glendale Urban Shuttle (GUS)
Glendale Urban Shuttle (GUS) provides a great way to bring location destinations closer with two convenient routes.  Fare is only 25 cents, with reduced fare (10 cents) for seniors and persons with disabilities between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Read more

Fixed route bus service offers citizens transportation alternatives to locations within the City of Glendale and throughout the valley.  Currently, the City of Glendale funds fifteen local routes and seven express routes to downtown Phoenix. Read more
