Glendale, AZ - ARRAServices for Glendale Residents

There are a variety of programs and services that are available to Glendale residents.  The eligibility requirements for programs and services funded with ARRA and related Federal Funds are unique to each new program and the potential client. Glendale will work with each prospective client to determine the services for which you may be eligible. Following are some of the choices:

  • Foreclosure Prevention: If you are experiencing imminent foreclosure, please call 1-877-448-1211 to speak with a foreclosure counselor. You can also receive more information about foreclosures by clicking here. To learn more about programs for homebuyers throughout the Valley, including eligibility requirements, visit www. Your Way Home AZ.com.
  • Homeless Prevention & Rental Assistance: The Homeless Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Program (HPRP) is a new federal program whose purpose is to provide homeless prevention assistance to households, at or below 50 percent of area median income, who would otherwise become homeless. This includes short-term rental and utility payment assistance for Glendale residents who meet all the eligibility requirements. For HPRP income guidelines and more information, click here.
  • First-Time Homebuyer Program:  Under this program, Glendale residents may receive a non-interest loan of up to $10,000 to help towards a home purchase through the American Dream Downpayment Initiative (ADDI), if their household income is 80 % below the median for Maricopa County. To learn more about this program, contact Community Housing Resources of Arizona at 602-631-9780. Click here for a PDF of detailed information. | En Espanol
  • Introducing the Glendale Homebuyers Assistance Program: The city is using $278,326 in federal dollars provided through the Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) to fund the “Glendale Homebuyers Assistance Program.”  The NSP is a federally funded, one-time allocation provided through HUD. All funds received from the federal government for Glendale’s NSP program address the redevelopment of abandoned/foreclosed homes and properties. This helps to stabilize and revitalize those neighborhoods in which the properties are located. The Homebuyers Assistance Program is designed to provide Glendale residents with the opportunity to acquire and rehabilitate (if necessary) abandoned/foreclosed homes.  For more information on this program, click here | En espanol (pdf).
