GLENDALE YOUTH RECEIVE ‘FIELD OF DREAMS” FROM INSIGHT BOWL

WHO: The Insight Bowl, held at Chase Field on Dec 27th, required the use of special turf to be installed just for the game. Through a program sponsored by the Maricopa County Stadium District, West Coast Turf and the Insight Bowl/Fiesta Bowl, this “Field of Dreams” has been donated to the city of Glendale for use at a city youth sports site.

WHAT: The 60,000 square feet of “Insight Bowl Sod” will be installed at the Glendale Youth Sports Fields. The 13-acre park is located adjacent to the new Arizona University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Ariz. and will be used for amateur youth sport activities, such as soccer and football. This site will also be used to hold special events in connection with the Arizona Cardinals, Arizona Sports and Tourism Authority and the Fiesta Bowl.

WHERE: 91st Ave and Bethany Home Road

WHY: The city of Glendale was announced as the recipient of the turf at a pre-game ceremony at the Insight Bowl.
