Glendale to Swear in Chief Steven Conrad

WHO: Community leaders, members of public safety agencies from throughout the Valley, city employees and Glendale residents will join the Glendale Police Department to swear in Steven Conrad as its next Police Chief.

WHAT: A formal swearing in ceremony will be followed by a community reception.

WHERE: Glendale Civic Center, 5750 W. Glenn Drive (57th Drive; one block north of Glendale Avenue)

WHEN: Wednesday, March 1; Doors open at 5:30 pm and ceremony to begin at 6 p.m.

WHY: In 2005, the city of Glendale conducted an extensive national recruitment process to find a new Chief of Police. On Nov. 18, the city announced Steven Conrad of the Louisville Police Department as its next chief. Chief Conrad began his duties with the department on Wednesday, Dec. 28. This ceremony will formally recognize him as the Glendale Chief of Police.
