Glendale Police Held First Annual Awards Banquet For Explorers
GLENDALE, Ariz. – On Saturday evening, February 7, 2009, the Glendale Police Department held their inaugural Explorers’ Awards Banquet to honor and recognize the Explorers who made a difference in the community during the past year.

The following is a list of the Glendale Police Explorers:

- Explorer Katy Hemphill
- Exploerer Jocelyn Perez
- Explorer Matthew Ross
- Explorer Cody Sickles
- Lt. Brad Kudler
- Lt. Robert Tyree
- Explorer Angel Navarrete
- Explorer Freddy Navarrete
- Commander Andrew Larson
Awards were given out at the banquet including the Overall Exemplary Team Spirit Award, which was presented to Freddy Navarrete, and the Explorer of the Year Award, which was presented to Commander Andrew Larson.
Police Explorers must be between the ages of 14 and 20, have a good moral character, be physically fit, and be interested in volunteering for community service.
