GLENDALE, Ariz. – The Glendale Police West Valley Advocacy Center will receive a $2500 donation from Wal-Mart on August 10th, at 7:00 a.m. The donation will take place at the grand opening of the new Wal-Mart store at 75th Avenue and W. Glendale.
The West Valley Advocacy Center assists victims of domestic violence and cases of abuse. The donation will be used to aid adult and child victims with travel and shelter expenses. Some of the money will also be used to purchase clothing for victims.
Members of the Glendale Police Department expected to attend the ceremony include, Captain Matt Lively, Lieutenant Christine DeSanti, and Victim Assistance Caseworkers Mike Eyer, Bianca Contreras, Lori Smith and Nancy Jo McLeod.
