The public can now communicate with the Glendale Police Department through the use of a smartphone app! Nationally, studies are revealing that mobile subscribers are using apps to obtain information more than browsing the web. Recently, the department launched its first-ever smartphone app! The App helps the Glendale Police Department continue to enhance the level of service provided daily to our community by placing our services directly at the citizen’s fingertips.

The Glendale Police Department partnered with WiredBlue LLC to develop the smartphone application, which is called the “My Police Department” or“MyPD” App. The MyPD App is spreading in popularity nationwide. Over 100 agencies across the nation and Canada are using the MyPD App for their departmental smartphone applications. The Glendale Police Department is one of only two agencies in the state of Arizona to utilize the App.
The MyPD App can be downloaded on most all mobile devices to include iPhone and Android smartphones as well as tablet PCs such as the Galaxy and iPads. The MyPD App can be downloaded free of charge by searching for My Police Department or MyPD in the iPhone or Android marketplace. Once downloaded, you simply navigate to the Glendale Police Department. (See quick links below.)
