On March 27, 2003 Glendale Patrol Officers responded to a call of shots fired and a subject down on the street in downtown Glendale, on Glendale Av at 58th Ave. Officers found the victim Stephon Wickware suffering from gunshot wounds. Witnesses reported to Police they saw a young Hispanic male riding away from the area on a bicycle after the shots were fired. Stephon’s family members told police on the night of his death he went to visit his girlfriend, who lives in the area of the shooting.
Stephon left the home of his girlfriend to catch a bus to get a ride back to his own home. The suspect in the shooting was described as a Hispanic male 18-20 years of age with a small build.
