| Paula Haggerty - Case number 96-92804 |
On October 11, 1996 at 9:21 p.m. a citizen contacted Glendale Police and reported the body of a female on the side of the roadway near 8600 N 71st Ave. Officers found the body of Paula Haggerty dumped over a fence in a field near the area. Paula was the victim of an obvious homicide. Follow-up investigation revealed Paula was last seen alive near the area of 27th Ave and Indian School Rd on the previous day. Friends of Paula reported she left a motel in the area with two black male subjects. One of the subjects was reported to be a current boyfriend of Paula. Paula’s relatives told police she had a marriage with children when she fell on hard times and became addicted to drugs. Paula was living on the streets and working as a prostitute to obtain her drugs. Investigators believe there are witnesses to identify who Paula was last seen with on the night of her death.
