| Gayle Crouch - Case number 97-61432 |
| On June 23, 1997 at 11:02 p.m. citizens called Glendale Police and reported a female was just thrown out of a moving vehicle at 51st Ave and Peoria Ave. Occupants of the car fired several shots as the female was thrown from the car. Police Officers arrived in the area and found the body of Gayle Crouch lying in a parking lot, the victim of an obvious homicide. Relatives of Gayle reported that she recently moved to this area from Rochester New York along with her husband. Gayle’s husband said Gayle developed a drug problem and she would disappear for several days at a time. Gayle was known to frequent the Central Phoenix area to obtain her drugs. Gayle had no known connection to the area her body was found in. Two days after Gayle was found dead her maroon colored Chevrolet Blazer was used in several armed robberies in East Phoenix. As of this time there is no known suspect in Gayle’s death.
