Parks and Recreation - Dog Parks

Off-leash recreation dog parks allow dogs to romp, run and have fun without being on a leash. Dog parks create a healthier lifestyle for our furry friends and provides a great area for dog owners to socialize.

foothills

Foothills Park, 57th Avenue and Union Hills Drive, has an area located northeast of the softball complex and access is from the Foothills Library parking lot.

NOTE: The large turf area maintenance will be completed and the area will reopen for use on Thursday, July 23. The large granite area and the small dog area will remain open. The auxilary dog park just south of the Foothills Library on 57th Avenue will also remain open. Sahuaro Ranch and Northern Horizon dog parks will also be available.

PLEASE NOTE: 57th Avenue will be closed at Union Hills Drive beginning Monday, January 5, until approximately November 2009 to construct a bridge on 57th Avenue across Skunk Creek for pedestrian and vehicular safety during flooding. For access to Foothill Park's dog park and ball complex, please take 59th Avenue north to Utopia (1/2 mile north of Union Hills), west on Utopia to 57th Avenue and south on 57th Avenue. For more information, click here.

Dogs and owners can enjoy the special areas for small dogs, grass, shade, benches and an agility course.
