2014 Arizona Cardinals/NFL
Punt, Pass & Kick Competition

Tuesday, September 16 at Foothill sport complex, 57th Ave & just north of Union Hills on field #1 and #2
(postponed from Sept. 9 due to wet fields)

This is a national skills competition in which girls and boys in five separate age divisions compete against each other in punting, passing and placekicking in a fun and engaging forum. Scores are based on distance and accuracy. This program is FREE for boys and girls ages 6-15. Onsite registration begins at 5 p.m. sharp and the competitions begin at 6 p.m.

Winners from the local competition will advance on to the sectional competition to be held on Sunday, November 2nd at the Sahuaro Ranch Main soccer field, 59th Ave and Mountain View. Only the top four boys and girls first place finishers in each age bracket from the pool of Sectional competition champions will advance to the Team Championships at the Cardinal Stadium to be held during a regular season home game. (Parent & Child: Ages 16 mo.-3 years) Perfect introduction to Sportball! Children and parents participate in sports, creative games, songs, stories, bubble time and more. These programs focus on exploration and introduce children to a different sport each week. Parents help to develop their child’s important introductory physical skills and confidence. The programs also help parents understand proven teaching techniques that can be applied outside of Sportball classes. (Ages 4-10) Students will be trained under the new USTA “Quick Start” guidelines. Ages 4-8 will use smaller 36’ courts, smaller nets, smaller racquets and special balls. Play-based drills will be geared towards increasing enjoyment and skill development. Ages 9-10 will also use age-appropriate equipment to speed up the learning curve. Play will be on 60’ courts with slower moving balls to assist in developing tennis skills. Instructor: PASEO RACQUET CENTER STAFF.
