New! Adult Coed Recreational Volleyball League

volleyballLeague Begins: Thursday, February 23, 2017
Registration Dates: January 23 – 27, 2017
Mandatory Managers Meeting: Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2017
7 p.m. in the Raven Room at the Foothills Recreation & Aquatics Center. All registered teams will be required to have one team representative attend this meeting.

Registration Fee: $180 resident / $240 non-resident
Fee includes eight total regular season matches, administration fees, lights, gym facility, equipment, awards for winning team, an officials and site staff.

League Format: The Adult Coed Volleyball League will be offered on Wednesday evenings at the Foothills Recreation & Aquatics Center. Games will be scheduled at 6:30, 7:30 or 8:30 p.m. The League is limited to 6-8 teams. Teams will play weekly for a total of eight regular season matches, (best of three games) followed by a single elimination tournament.

Team Classification: Teams are responsible for signing up in their appropriate leagues. Coed Recreational League players are players that have less experience then the competitive players. (i.e. Knowledge of rules or parks and recreation experiences.)

League Format: The Adult Men’s Basketball League will be offered on Tuesday evenings at the Foothills Recreation & Aquatics Center. Games will be scheduled at 6:30, 7:30 or 8:30 p.m. The League is limited to 6 teams. Teams will play weekly for a total of 8 regular season games, round robin format with a single elimination tournament.

Team Classification: Teams are responsible for signing up in their appropriate leagues. Competitive League players have more experience. (i.e. ex college/high school players with knowledge of the rules and more experience.) Recreational League players are players that have less experience then the competitive players. (i.e. Knowledge of rules or parks and recreation experiences.)

Adult Softball Leagues

Adult Softball Leagues

Thanks to all who have played in our past leagues and supporting our program. We know you have many choices when it comes to playing in city softball leagues, and we’re very appreciative your choice is Glendale. For those of you who are considering Glendale leagues for the first time, it is our goal to provide you the best experience every season. Also, if you’re an individual looking for a team, we can help. We have great success in helping individuals find teams through our Free Agent List. Ultimately, we strive to provide you, your friends and family a wonderful recreation experience. We offer four seasons each year, so if you have a seasonal preference, we have it. Good luck this season and, most of all, enjoy.

2017 Spring League Softball Registration Coming Soon!

Glendale Parks & Recreation does not place individuals on teams, but individuals may be listed on a Free Agent List made available to teams short on players. If you would like to be placed on the Free Agent List or have any questions about the Adult Sports program, please contact Mike Davis at 623-930-4612 or mdavis@glendaleaz.com.

Adult Sports program participants must be age 18 or older. To receive Glendale resident rates, proof of residency must be provided. Proof must show address and be current within 60 days. Examples include driver’s license, water bill, etc. Teams will pay the maximum non-resident fee until proof of residency is verified, then a refund will be issued for the appropriate amount. Refunds take 7-10 business days.

Glendale Adult Softball Format

Sign up for a variety of adult leagues six nights a week. The Glendale Parks and Recreation rules along with ASA modified rules will be applied. Team trophy and shirts are awarded to first place teams and a team trophy for runner-up and third place teams. Entries spaces are limited for 8 teams in each division.

  • REGISTRATION STATUS:
    FEES FOR RETURNING/NEW RESIDENT TEAMS OR NON RESIDENT TEAMS:
    $505-$595 depending on your team status. To be a resident team, you must have at least 4 Glendale residents on your roster. Teams receive $50 off registration fees for attending the mandatory coaches meeting. Coaches meetings are held 2 – 3 weeks prior to the start of each season.
  • SOFTBALL SEASONS:
    Games will be played on some holidays only excluding a few.
    WINTER SEASON: January – mid March
    SPRING SEASON: early April – mid June
    SUMMER SEASON: late July – late September
    FALL SEASON: early October – mid December
  • LEAGUE/LOCATIONS (can change from season to season)
    All leagues play double headers format one night a week. 14 games double header regular season with end of the season with single elimination tournament at these locations. 15 GAMES GUARANTEED!
    FSC=Foothills Sports Complex, 19070 N. 57th Ave.
    SRSC=Sahuaro Ranch Sports Complex, 9895 N. 63rd Ave.
  • LEAGUE FORMAT: All DIVISION will consist of eight (8) teams.
  • GAME TIMES: Fridays: 6:30, 7:30, 8:30, 9:30 p.m. • Sundays: 5:30, 6:30, 7:30, 8:30 p.m.

Adult sports and fitness classes are for ages 13+ unless otherwise noted. Click here to browse and register for available classes.


ADULT TEAMS: Payment must be cash, cashier’s check, business check, money order or credit card. No personal checks will be accepted. Teams will be refunded $70 if the Glendale minimum residency requirement is met upon deadline of registration. If proof of residency is shown at time of registration, team will pay only the resident fee. (Teams must show proof of two Glendale residents by submitting photocopies of the player’s current Glendale water bill or other documents to prove residency in order to pay the resident fee or receive $70 refund.)
