UPDATE 4/30/09 - Health Advisory: H1N1 Influenza
With a confirmed H1N1Influenza occurrence in Maricopa County, the City of Glendale is following the recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to keep our community safe. Our public safety and emergency preparedness departments are in constant communication with county and state officials and are prepared to implement the 2008 Arizona Pandemic Influenza Operational Plan from the Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS). Community Information and Referral (CIR) Hotline
The Community Information and Referral (CIR) public inquiry hotline is now open to receive questions about the impact of H1N1 Flu on our community. The public may call 602-263-8856 or 800-352-3792 – 24 hours a day, seven days a week to speak with bi-lingual staff about general questions about this flu, learn how it is affecting our local community as well as learn Web sites and telephone numbers for more information.
Additionally, the Maricopa County Department of Public Health has preparedness information available on their Web site, www.wearepublichealth.org, that offers specific guidance for individuals, employers, schools and community groups about how to become prepared for a health emergency.
