Glendale Announces the Start of the Fall 2008 Neighborhood Partnership Grants Process
Glendale’s Neighborhood Partnership Office announces the start of the Fall 2008 Neighborhood Grants Process. Grants up to $80,000 will be available for qualified neighborhood and homeowner associations in Glendale.
The grants program is designed to encourage residents to come together and apply for projects of a public nature that will enhance their neighborhood.
All residents interested in participating in the Fall 2008 grants process will need to attend one of three orientation sessions, which will explain the guidelines of the grants program, eligible projects and how to complete the grant application. The actual grant application also will be available at these meetings.
The three orientation sessions will be at the following times and locations:
- Thursday, Aug. 28 at 6 p.m. – Sine Building, 6829 N. 58 Drive, Conference Room A
- Saturday, Sept. 13 at 9 a.m. – Foothills Library, 19055 N 57 Ave., Hummingbird Room
- Tuesday, Sept. 23 at 6 p.m. – Glendale Adult Center, 5970 W. Brown St., Room 102
All Fall 2008 neighborhood improvement grant applications must be submitted to the Neighborhood Partnership Office no later than 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31. A draft of the application is requested by Friday, Oct. 10.
Since the start of the program in 1995, 204 neighborhoods have received over $8.6 million for various neighborhood improvement grants.
