Glendale Mayor Elaine Scruggs, members of the Glendale City Council and city and court staff celebrated the first step in the city’s efforts to revitalize the Glendale Avenue Corridor recently by commemorating the demolition of an abandoned building to create a new city courthouse.
The new court complex will be built on the former Larry Miller Toyota facility, which is located at 4701 W. Glendale Ave. Demolition is set to begin by the end of June.
To mark the momentous event, residents and city leaders hosted a small celebration on Monday, June 9, 2008, to kick off the construction activity.
