MYAC was proud to sponsor the annual student government day. Student government day is an activity that allows students from MYAC to take part in the day-to-day life of government officials. On Tuesday, Feb. 5, 18 members of the 50-member commission chose a passion that they wished to oversee and showdow for a day. The students gathered at 8:30 a.m. to meet their government official and begin their day.

Ceara states that, “It was entertaining to learn the activities of the tourism director and how much involvement she had in coordinating for the Super Bowl.”
Allison Edwards (a MYAC member) shadowed Ginger Eiden and Lesley Reedy, Web developers for the city. Allison states that, “My day with Ginger and Lesley was amusing to see all the work that goes into a Web design and how many departments rely on them to be on task.” |
