What does an AV processing volunteer do?

A volunteer working in this area would process audiovisual materials using supplies such as tape, barcodes, media cases, and labels. Volunteers in this position will also mend audiovisual materials, including covers, cases and labels. Other duties may also be assigned in the AV processing area.

AV processing volunteers work in the Technical Services Department at the Main Library.

When would an AV processing volunteer work?

Days and times volunteered are dependent on the library's needs and the availability of the volunteer, but are usually scheduled as follows:

  • Morning shift--Monday through Friday 8-12
  • Afternoon shift--Monday through Friday 1-4
