The Main Library outdoor rental opportunities include a small xeriscape garden at the back (south side) of the library and the front lawn and award-winning garden north of the building.
A 2 hour minimum rental is required for all spaces and a refundable cleaning deposit may also be required. A surcharge of $25 per hour will be applied if either is rented before or after library hours of operation or on weekends. To see Indoor Rental Opportunities at the Main Library, click here. South Xeriscape Garden:
Hidden around the corner from the south entrance to the Main Library is a remote and quiet garden just perfect for your next event. With numerous benches and a horseshoe-shaped seating area, this idyllic area is a beautiful setting for a small, intimate wedding or an outdoor social gathering.
With the south side of the library as a backdrop, a stunning variety of low-water use plants provide a lush and colorful environment. The garden is also adorned with several pieces of Garden Artwork and is frequently visited by peacocks and peahens from adjacent Sahuaro Ranch Park. This truly is a picturesque locale for special occasions.

The Main Library's Front Lawn and Xeriscape garden lends itself to a huge variety of outdoor events. From intimate weddings amidst the lush vegetation of the spectacular garden to outdoor concerts on the wide, green lawn, this venue is sure to please. Plan your next family reunion or milestone birthday or anniversary party to take advantage of the colorful backdrop and wide open spaces for the kids to play.
Have a seat on one of the many comfortable benches and admire the award-winning bronze artwork, The Irrigators, created by Deb Gessner for the opening of the library in 1987. Wander the sandstone path through the beautiful garden to find numerous plants that thrive in this environment. Relax on the cool, green grass or take up a game of tag. Just don't be surprised if you're joined by a peacock from Sahuaro Ranch Park, next door.
