New Databases at Glendale Public Library

The Arizona State Library, Maricopa County Library, and Pima County Public Library, in partnership with the county library districts, has announced its selection of informational databases for public libraries, including Glendale Public Library. These new databases will launch July 1, 2014.

Library users already familiar with databases like Reference USA, Literature Resource Center, and Brainfuse Homework Help Now will still find those databases available at Glendale Library. Other databases that were part of the State’s former EBSCO subscription - such as Masterfile Premier, Newspaper Source, and Business Source Complete – will be matched by similar product titles under the State’s new GALE subscription – i.e. General OneFile, InfoTrack Newstand, and Business Insights. The Britannica set of online encyclopedias will replace the World Book set of online encyclopedias. The new state subscription will also include a handful of exciting “new to Glendale” databases, including National Geographic Kids.

Glendale Public Library databases are available 24/7 by visiting the library’s website at Click on the "Search Catalog and Electronic Resources" drop-down menu, choose "Databases and Electronic Resources" to see what’s available, and enter your library card number and PIN when prompted. Library users experiencing trouble finding their favorite database or researching a new one may always contact the Libraries for assistance. Call 623-930-3530 or “Ask a Librarian” at
