Kid Zone - What's Growing in Glendale
Sahuaro Ranch is more than just a park full of giant playgrounds, soccer fields and picnic areas. The historic ranch was once a working farm that produced fruit from its orchards, cotton, and other crops as well as housed cattle and sheep. Today, there are still a variety of items grown at Historic Sahuaro Ranch. Here are just a few things you might find on a tour:
- figs
- olives
- citrus (oranges, grapefruit and lemons)
- dates
- apricots
- peaches
- almonds
- apples
- cotton
- corn
- roses
- grapes
