Judge Pro Tempore
HOURLY: $50 per hour on an on-call basis

JOB ELEMENTS INCLUDE:
- Adjudicates misdemeanor, criminal traffic, civil traffic, and city code violations.
- Presides over initial appearances, arraignments, pre-trial conferences, civil traffic hearings, probation violation hearings, restitution hearings, jury and non-jury trials, and sentencings.
- Reviews and grants search warrants.
- Conducts hearings on petitions for orders of protection, injunctions prohibiting harassment, and issues court orders.
- Reviews and signs criminal complaints.
- Researches, explains, and applies laws, rules, and regulations.
- Assists the Presiding City Judge in administering court policies, procedures, and practices.
- Participates in judicial education as required.
- Performs other related work as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: This position requires a Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited Law School and is a member of the State Bar of Arizona in good standing for a minimum of five (5) years.
