| Deputy City Manager – Community Development

Reporting to the Assistant City Manager, the new Deputy City Manager – Community Development - will oversee Planning, Building Safety, Environmental Resources and Community/Business Redevelopment, with a staff of 94 and a budget of $9.3 million. The ideal candidate is a strongly committed individual with a breadth of local government experience who has a track record of achievement and developing constructive working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Effective staff management, strong fiscal management, and community relations expertise are key qualities for the successful candidate. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of eight years of progressively responsible administrative experience, combined with a Master’s Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Management or a related field. Residency in the City of Glendale is required within one (1) year of appointment.
