Glendale Legislative Activities
We carefully monitor legislative activities at both the state and federal levels and actively communicate with our legislators.
Each year, the Glendale city council develops a state legislative agenda that contains issues the city plans to advocate for and against at the state legislature. Similarly, the council establishes a federal legislative agenda which is presented to Glendale's congressional delegation.
At the state legislature, we carefully review each bill introduced to determine its impact on the city. Those bills that have an impact on Glendale are presented to the Glendale city council for their policy direction. Once council has provided its policy direction, we meet with state legislators to explain Glendale’s position.
