Who We Are
Glendale’s Intergovernmental Programs Department coordinates the city’s dealings with federal, state and other local governments, seeking to foster constructive links between the city and these entities.
We keep the mayor and council informed about intergovernmental issues and often represent the city’s interests in these matters. In addition, we handle special projects as assigned by the mayor, council and city management.

Responsible for assisting in the development of Glendale’s state legislative agendas, state and regional transportation issues, the neighborhood outreach program, the legislative link program, working with staff to determine the potential impacts of legislation and assisting the director in other capacities as needed.

- Deanne Burt, Intergovernmental Programs Management Assistant
During the legislative session, Deanne Burt is responsible for sending out legislation to the internal departments and coordinating the responses. She handles all of the administrative functions for the department, assists the director and deputy directors as needed and works on special projects as assigned.
