Achen-Gardner Engineering is installing raw waterline which will transport water from various well sites near 63rd Avenue to the Oasis Groundwater Treatment Plant, where it will be treated and become part of the water distribution system for the City of Glendale. The project will install waterline on 63rd Avenue, from just north of Grand Avenue to just south of Peoria Avenue. Work has been completed to just south of Northern Avenue, and work north of Olive will be coordinated in advance with Glendale Community College.
The following tentative schedule is provided for the project:
- Beginning Monday, October 5th, the 63rd Ave/Alice Ave intersection will be closed for approximately five days. Crews will work on 63rd Avenue, just north of Alice Ave in a southerly direction through the intersection.
- In addition, 63rd Avenue will be closed between Alice Ave and Butler Dr for approximately four weeks as crews install waterline on 63rd Avenue. Alice Avenue is currently closed between 61st Ave and 63rd Ave for work for the Glendale Elementary School District. This work will follow the raw waterline work on 63rd Ave, from Alice Ave to Butler Dr.
- Once work is complete from Alice Ave to Butler Dr, 63rd Ave will then be closed from Butler Dr to Royal Palm Rd as waterline is installed in that segment. At Royal Palm Rd, crews will work in a westerly direction through the field north of the cemetery to install waterline.
Thank you for your patience during this construction.
