| Downtown Catlin Court Alleyway Enhancement Project
Construction work is set to begin on this exciting new project in Historic Downtown Glendale. When complete, the Catlin Court alleyways will boast inviting architectural touches and walkable spaces ready to greet our downtown pedestrian traffic. Work Includes:
The project will improve existing alleyways and provide pedestrian amenities. Reinstallation of utilities underground will be constructed as a separate project. The scope of this project involves:
- removal of above ground service utility lines and existing asphalt pavement,
- replacement of existing asphalt with Americans with a Disabilities Act (ADA)-accessible asphalt paving,
- placement of specialized asphalt pavement textures and colors to indicate separate pathways for pedestrians,
- installation of landscaping, irrigation and water meters,
- installation of new lighting elements and electrical connections, and
- installation of bike racks, benches, decorative fencing, and trash receptacles.
