improvements project is beginning construction in
May 2008. This project includes two different

Avenue
- 67th Avenue – Olive Avenue to the ACDC

Please note that businesses will remain open and accessible during the project.
Project Update
Current Construction Activity and Locations:
- Work has begun on the storm drain along 67th Avenue just north of Peoria, which is being installed in a northern direction on 67th Avenue to Thunderbird Road. This storm drain pipe is 60 inches in diameter and becomes slightly smaller at Cactus Road. It will be installed in the middle of the roadway. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction (north and south) and left turns will be restricted. This storm drain work will not require the crossing of Cactus Road but will be installed south and north of Cactus Road.
- Work has also begun on the northeast corner of 67th Avenue and Cactus Road to create the right turn lane for westbound traffic turning northbound. Additional improvements at the 67th Avenue/Cactus Road intersection include bus bays, right turn lanes, curb/gutter and sidewalk improvements, landscaping, street lighting, traffic signal improvements, and median islands on 67th Avenue, north and south of Cactus Road.
It may be necessary to adjust traffic control to accommodate construction and traffic conditions; however, business access will be maintained at all times.
