Meet Glendale 11's Jon Brictson

Glendale 11 - Staff A 30-year veteran of the broadcast industry, Brictson joined Glendale 11 in 1997. He is the well-known face and voice of City Beat, a fast-paced, up-to-date newscast on the latest happenings in Glendale. His broadcast resume includes 19 years at Channel 5 (KPHO), the CBS affiliate in Phoenix as Sports Director/Anchor. Before working in the Valley, Brictson worked in sports and news in Cincinnati (WCPO) and Youngstown (WFMJ), Ohio. He also worked in radio in Syracuse (WHEN), N.Y. Brictson has a bachelor’s degree from DePauw University in Greencastle, Ind. and a master’s degree in television/radio from Syracuse University. He has been involved with the Society of Professional Journalists, Sigma Delta Chi and the Executive Council Boys and Girls Clubs of Metropolitan Phoenix. He received a Telly Award for a program he produced on the city of Glendale’s distinguished Veterans’ Memorial located at the main public library.
